JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Office Manager, the Administrative Assistant will provide confidential administrative support to the SCCFS delegated team and those visiting or calling SCCFS. This role includes front desk reception tasks, managing incoming/outgoing mail, data entry, and supporting delegated teams with filing procedures. The position also involves various administrative support functions, including special projects, backup reception coverage, and participation in agency events.
Finance duties include obtaining approvals, tracking spending on company credit cards, maintaining petty cash, and assisting with financial paperwork.
Other related duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12 diploma and/or certificate in an administrative program or equivalent combination of education.
- 1-2 years prior experience in office administration, preferably in a health/social service-related organization.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong client service orientation.
- Well-organized with strong time management skills.
- Ability to multitask with attention to detail.
- Proficient in MS Office and various government information software.
- Respect for Indigenous people and culture
Preference will be given to qualified applicants who self-identify as First Nations, Métis, or Inuit as per Section 41 of the BC Human Rights Code.

Working Conditions: Work is primarily in the Surrounded by Cedar office, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Some lifting and cleaning duties are required.
