An Unforgettable Day at the 2025 Annual Back-to-School Picnic!
It was our honour to welcome Indigenous children and youth, along with their families, to this year’s Annual Back-to-School Picnic held on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Government House on beautiful lək̓ʷəŋən territory.
With the support of 100 incredible volunteers, we distributed 1,090 school supply kits and every family who registered for supplies joined us for a day filled with joy and connection.
- Highlights included:
- Fun games and activities like face painting, rock climbing, and virtual reality!
- A delicious BBQ lunch!
- An exciting Amazing Race hosted by SCCFS’ Youth Advisory Council!
- And so much more!
The atmosphere was heartwarming and vibrant, with laughter echoing across the grounds as families made memories and celebrated the upcoming 2025–2026 school year together.
Please note: All school supplies, including extras, have now been distributed. For additional support, we encourage families to reach out to their local non-profits or schools.
Thank you to everyone who joined us—we can’t wait to see you again in summer 2026!
