Have a Heart Day Feb.14, 2026
❤️ Join us as we stand in support of equity and reconciliation for First Nations children. Have a Heart Day reminds us that all children deserve equal access to education, health care, and social services — no matter where they live.
Let’s show our love through fairness, kindness, and action. 💛
Have a Heart Day is an annual child and youth-led event held on February 14 in Canada. It focuses on reconciliation and equity for First Nations children, ensuring they receive the same services and opportunities as other children.
It was created by the First Nations Child and Family Caring Society of Canada and is closely connected to advocacy around Jordan’s Principle.
What it’s about
- 💛 Equal access to education, health, and social services
- 💛 Fair and equitable government funding
- 💛 Honouring children’s voices in reconciliation
Why February 14?
Instead of focusing only on romantic love, the day encourages Canadians to show love through fairness, kindness, and justice for First Nations children.
Schools, families, and communities often:
- Send letters to government leaders
- Learn about children’s rights and reconciliation
- Wear orange or heart-themed clothing
